Registration for the Arts & Parks Arts Afterschool Program and the Mini-Monet Playgroup begins Tuesday, Sept. 7th for P.I. residents (Monday, Sept. 13th, for non-P.I. residents) at the WILLIAM V. HASKELL COMMUNITY CENTER, 270 Main Street, Presque Isle.

Afterschool Assistant Art Instructors                                                          

Application Deadline:  Applicants must submit a completed application on or before Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 to the Presque Isle Parks & Recreation Department located at 270 Main Street, 764-2545. 

Pay: $7.75-$8 per hour

Hours:  The program runs Tuesdays-Fridays afterschool 3:00-5:30 PM. Work hours are 2:30-6:00 PM. Schedules may vary from a Tuesday & Thursday schedule, a Wednesday & Friday schedule or a Tuesday-Friday schedule. 

The job begins Tuesday, Sept. 21st and ends Friday, December 17th, with one week off for Thanksgiving Nov. 22nd - 26th.                      

Job Description:  Responsible for assisting the arts instructors, working with participants, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, and supervising participant drop off and pick up times. Responsibilities also include set up and clean-up before and after programs.  An artistic background and experience working with children are a plus.
