Birthday Parties are a piece of cake at Wintergreen!

The Wintergreen Arts Center can make your child’s big day extra special with a fun, hands-on Art Party! Our experienced party planners can help you organize a fun and creative party for ages 12 months and up.

Each Child Receives:

  • Exclusive use of the Wintergreen Arts Studio for an hour and a half
  • 60 minutes of an instructor led art project and other creative activities
  • 30 minutes for opening presents and cake decorating.
  • A colorful balloon to take home.
  • Cake, ice cream and beverage served in the Studio Café

Party Planning at a Glance:

Birthday parties at Wintergreen Arts Center start at $175 for 8 party guests.  Additional guests are $20 each, with a maximum of 20. A $40 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the space.

Here is the scoop:

Sit back and relax; everyone gets to feel like a guest of honor at Wintergreen. 

  • Enjoy private use of the Wintergreen Studio with an art specialist and party assistant who will guide party guests through an hour and half of fun-filled activities.
  • Set-up and clean-up are included in the price, how easy is that?
  • Simply select your color choice(s) and we will provide the balloons.
  • A decorated round 8” cake, ice cream cup and juice box are included in the package. A larger decorated cake is provided for parties with 12 guests or more.  Please check with our party consultant to learn more about our additional menu items and cake options.  Please note that we can not allow outside food in the facility.

Scheduling your Party

Birthday Parties are very popular and space is limited, so please book your child's party at least two weeks in advance.  Party times are available on Saturday from 1 pm - 9 pm, and Sunday 10 am - 5 pm.

 Themes:
  • A. Box City Party…Create and build a “city” with larger-than-you-are boxes and color, paint and play in the city.
  • Candyland Party…Become a Candyland game piece as the game is played throughout the arts center, stopping in such places as the Gumdrop Pass, Molasses Swamp and The Peppermint Forest.
  • Fairytale Party…Read a fairytale, create fairies, have a fairy treasure hunt, and pretend in a fairy forest.
  • Marble Party…Use a gigantic marble chute, create your own for home, paint with marbles and learn the old-fashioned game of marbles.
  • Music Party…Make an instrument to take home, experiment with many types of instruments and learn music under the leadership of a music teacher.
  • Mystery Party…Participate in solving a real art mystery, learn about fingerprinting and a use secret code.
  • Robot Party…Use found bits, boxes and duct tape to create your own robot and have a robot parade.
  • Space Party…Build and paint aliens and planets, participate in a galaxy treasure hunt.
  • Train Party…Read a train story, paint a train project, and create a life-size train to get you to the party.
  • Under the Sea Party…Collect treasures for your grotto at the scavenger hunt, create with seashells, and “swim” the underwater décor.

($25 Extra for the themes below)

  • Clay Party - Learn to sculpt a clay pinch pot or clay beads and prepare it for painting.
  • Garden Party - Plant flowers in a terra cotta pot painted by you, create tissue paper flowers, and someday eat at the table in the real art center garden.
  • Spa Party - Hair braiding, facials, nail painting, lip gloss and body glitter.  Be pampered like in a real spa.
  • Tea Party - Wear your best dress, make a hat, wear gloves, create flowers, drink tea in real glass cups/saucers and eat tea cakes.
  • Theater Party - Learn acting from a theater teacher, choose props and costumes, and perform a play at the end of the party in our very own theater.
