The first Friday of most months Wintergreen Arts Center participates in the First Friday Art Night. This wider community event brings local businesses together to celebrate and showcase local artisans. The event is free and open to the public.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen Arts Center and the Common Gallery will feature the work of multiple Aroostook County artists. Each gallery has its own theme, \u201cfractured\u201d for Wintergreen and \u201cmusic\u201d for Common Gallery, and each artist will complete a piece representing the theme will be displayed at the respective gallery.  The opening reception of the show will be held Friday evening, June 5, from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm, during Presque Isle\u2019s First Friday Art Night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live music by Janice Santos and Doug Drew will be featured at the Wintergreen Arts Center and light refreshments will be provided. Live music by Carol Ayobb and Jon Steinberger will be featured at the Common Gallery. Come and celebrate the music and art of Aroostook County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShelby and I are excited to feature artwork from local artists across each of our galleries,\u201d says Gretchen Violette from the Wintergreen Arts Center. \u201cThe themes of Fractured and Music create a striking contrast, and we\u2019re eager to see how each artist interprets these ideas and how their individual style is influenced. Hosting a multi\u2011gallery show in Presque Isle allows these artists to reach a broader audience, carrying with it a deeper appreciation for their talent and the vibrant creativity within our community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frist Friday Art Night will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6 -7:45pm at the Wintergreen Arts Center at 830 Main Street at the Aroostook Center Mall in Presque Isle and at the Common Gallery at 422 Main St in Downtown Presque Isle. This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
