PRESQUE\nISLE, Maine\u2014<\/strong>Wintergreen Arts Center is hosting a silent art\nauction\u2014Community HeARTS<\/em><\/strong>\u2014beginning  Friday, October  4, with an opening reception to be held from\n6:00 pm to 8:00 pm during Presque Isle\u2019s First Friday Art Walk.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From fine art pieces, to a handcrafted doll house, wooden\nbird house, country primitive d\u00e9cor, and many other unique items donated by local\nartists, Community HeARTS<\/em><\/strong> is a silent art auction that truly offers something\nfor everyone.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wintergreen Arts Center is accepting items from local\nartisans through Friday, October 4.  All\nitems will be on display at Wintergreen for the entire month of October.  Silent bidding begins during the First Friday\nOpening Reception and continues online through Wintergreen\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cCommunity HeARTS<\/em><\/strong> started\nwith one or two local artists donating pieces for a fundraiser,\u201d said Dottie\nHutchins, Wintergreen\u2019s executive director. \n\u201cWe did not send out a traditional call for artists, most of the pieces\nare coming in from friends and by word of mouth.  We are thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n
