PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Katie\nMcGough recently joined the staff at Wintergreen Arts Center.  Katie will serve as program director, a new\nposition created to support Wintergreen\u2019s programming growth and efforts to\nmeet community needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie is a Caribou native with ten years of experience teaching\nchildren in kindergarten through junior high school.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in\nPhysical Education from the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am very excited to be joining such a talented and hard-working\nstaff at Wintergreen,\u201d said Katie.  \u201cI\u2019m looking\nforward to continuing the great work here and expanding our programs.  It\u2019s such a creative and happy place to be\nand I\u2019m excited to pour my heart into it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie\u2019s family has participated in several Wintergreen programs\nincluding its creative preschool, summer arts program, as well as signature\nholiday events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe welcome Katie with open arms,\u201d said Dottie Hutchins,\nWintergreen\u2019s executive director.  \u201cShe\nbrings such great energy, passion, and experience to everything she tackles and\nis truly hitting the ground running.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie served as a volunteer parent with Wintergreen\u2019s Video\nProduction Camp earlier this summer spending two weeks supporting the students\u2019\nproduction about the importance of farming in Aroostook County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fun to watch Katie work,\u201d Dottie added.  \u201cShe is caring, supportive of our teachers,\nand such a good fit for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie and her husband Eric reside in Caribou with their two young girls, Grace and Emma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
