PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen\nArts Center recently received a $2,500 gift from State Farm Agent John Harvell\nand his wife Heather Harvell.  This gift\nsecures $2,500 in matching grant funds from the State Farm Companies\nFoundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John and Heather Harvell are long-time supporters and\nchampions of the Wintergreen Arts Center. \nThis $5,000 gift\/grant combination is not the first to be initiated by\nthe Harvell family in support of Wintergreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, John provided the first of many financial gifts,\nmatched by the State Farm Companies Foundation, to launch Wintergreen\u2019s\nprogram, Pizza \u2018n Art for Teens & Tweens, successfully opening up the\ncenter to opportunities for an older demographic of youngsters.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More recently, John and Heather were the first to step\nforward with a financial donation towards Wintergreen\u2019s 2020 Renovations\nProject at their new space in the Aroostook Center Mall.  Their contribution is memorialized with a\nbeautiful wooden growth chart in Wintergreen\u2019s Under the Willow Tree Creative\nPreschool area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJohn and Heather Harvell\u2019s history at Wintergreen is long and deep,\u201d said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen\u2019s executive director.\u00a0 \u201cHeather is a former board member who took on the duties of the executive director in times of need and was instrumental in starting our creative preschool.\u00a0 John is an amazing example of an individual who loves his family, gives back to his community, and supports all the things he cherishes.\u00a0 Wintergreen is blessed to have his backing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
