Presque Isle, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen\nArts Center recently received funding in the amount of $6,000 from the Maine\nArts Commission Organization Partnership program.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award establishes a partnering process between the Wintergreen\nArts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and the Maine Arts Commission, an\nindependent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis grant is the third consecutive funding award from the\nMaine Arts Commission\u2019s Partnership program\u201d said Dottie Hutchins,\nWintergreen\u2019s executive director.  \u201cWintergreen\nis a stronger organization thanks to this relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning in 2016, Wintergreen received three consecutive Organizational\nDevelopment grants from the Maine Arts Commission for leadership training,\ndatabase management, and strategic planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s funding goes directly to our efforts in promoting local artists by helping to support Wintergreen\u2019s participation in Presque Isle\u2019s First Friday Artwalk,\u201d said Hutchins.\u00a0 \u201cIt also supports our most recent round of strategic planning to keep Wintergreen relevant and ready in our efforts to encourage creativity and the arts in Aroostook County.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
