PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen Arts Center recently received a grant in the amount of $20,000 from the Davis Family Foundation to expand afterschool and summer arts program to all area youth regardless of their ability to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are grateful to the Davis Family Foundation for this very generous grant as well as for their continued support over the years,\u201d said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen\u2019s executive director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proceeds from this grant will go directly to sponsor the growth of Wintergreen\u2019s afterschool and summer arts programs as well as increase the arts center\u2019s ability to serve all children regardless of their financial circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt Wintergreen, we never turn a child away from our afterschool and summer programs for financial reasons,\u201d added Hutchins. \u201cWe always find the money somewhere and this grant ensures we\u2019ll do that for months to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halsey Davis of Falmouth, Maine, to support educational, medical and cultural\/arts organizations located primarily in Maine.
