PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen Arts Center recently received $10,000 from the Onion Foundation\u2019s Fall Grant Cycle.  The gift goes to support Wintergreen\u2019s general operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Onion Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation based in Maine with a mission to encourage conservation and stewardship of the natural environment and to promote music and the arts in the state of Maine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Onion Foundation does amazing things for Maine nonprofits,\u201d said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen\u2019s executive director.  \u201cWe are extremely grateful that the Wintergreen Arts Center is the recipient of their continued generosity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hutchins added, \u201cThe founders and staff of the Onion Foundation truly understand the importance of not only funding unique projects but also the significance of supporting day-to-day operations for nonprofit organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
