Renee Saucier, Machias Savings Bank Team Leader and Cindy Bell, Finance Service Specialist present Dione Skidgel, Center Manager and Rowena Forbes, Wintergreen Center Executive Director with a $1,000 donation for Wintergreen\u2019s After School Arts program.<\/p><\/div>\n

PRESQUE ISLE, ME \u2013 October 10, 2014, <\/strong>Wintergreen Arts Center received a generous donation from Machias Savings Bank for their After School Arts program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wintergreen Arts Center works diligently to offer quality arts enrichment for Presque Isle and the surrounding area. The generous donation by Machias Savings Bank will go toward the Wintergreen After School Arts program.<\/p>\n

The program offers art classes to students, K-8 during the course of the school year.\u00a0 Each of the five 6-week theme-based sessions allows students to become immersed in the arts. Students are introduced to artists, art history, and art theory, learning new techniques and mediums while developing creative problem solving skills and building self-confidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cMachias Savings Bank is so happy to be able to make this donation to Wintergreen Arts Center,\u201d said Michael Kelley, Machias Savings Bank Presque Isle Branch Manager.\u00a0 \u201cThe After School Arts program fills a particular need in our community that, in the past, had been missing.
