PRESQUE ISLE, Maine<\/strong>\u2014Wintergreen Arts Center recently received a $7,500 Organization Operations Grant from the Maine Arts Commission. This grant provides general operating support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are extremely grateful for this funding from the Maine Arts Commission,\u201d said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen\u2019s executive director. \u201cTheir continued support helps Wintergreen fulfill our mission to stimulate creativity and curiosity through the arts in Aroostook County.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Wintergreen served over 3,970 family members through its creative preschool, after school arts program, summer arts camps, signature holiday events, and a variety of workshops. Wintergreen supports local artists through monthly gallery exhibitions and the Aroostook Creative Network, a unique partnership with the Maine Arts Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maine Arts Commission is an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. By investing in nonprofit arts organizations, the Commission aims to strengthen Maine\u2019s arts sector, sustain vital infrastructure, and support the creative workforce across the state. The Organization Operations Grant program will help sustain operations and ensure the continued vibrancy of Maine\u2019s arts community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
