She succeeds Dottie Hutchins, who served in the role since 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As executive director, Ally assumes responsibility for overseeing Wintergreen\u2019s creative team while ensuring financial stability and maintaining the organization\u2019s unique culture and commitment to the people of Aroostook County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allyson Midgley is originally from the Chicagoland suburbs but has spent the last 10 years living in Indiana. During her time in Indiana, Ally worked in the higher education and nonprofit sector, most recently at an arts nonprofit that focuses on public sculpture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have Ally onboard,\u201d said Danielle Rae Clark, Wintergreen\u2019s board chair. \u201cBoth our staff and board members find her kind, creative, and eager to help us begin the next chapter at Wintergreen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ally\u2019s degree is in Studio Art with an emphasis on printmaking. Aside from her work in printmaking, she also works in stained glass, which she learned from her grandfather. When she is not in her studio, Ally enjoys reading, hiking with her dogs, and crocheting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am eager to engage in the community and in the arts world in Aroostook County,\u201d said Allyson, \u201cand to continue to support the mission of Wintergreen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Wintergreen Arts Center:<\/strong><em>&nbsp; The Wintergreen Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2006, and located in Presque Isle, Maine.&nbsp;Wintergreen is an organization based on the idea that creativity, advocacy, and community can produce great things.
