PRESQUE ISLE, Maine—Wintergreen Arts Center is featuring a variety of artists in April for the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America. The opening reception for their show will be held at the Wintergreen Arts Center in the Aroostook Center Mall on Friday, April 3, from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM.
This First Friday Art Walk showcase brings together a diverse collection of works centered on the Colonial and American Revolution themes to celebrate our country’s Semi-Quincentennial. From the rugged spirit of the frontier to the refined aesthetics of the 18th century, the exhibition features artists who have navigated our shared history through both traditional tribute and modern lens.
“We are thrilled to be featuring art from community artists in partnership with the City of Presque Isle and Kim Smith,” said Gretchen Violette, Wintergreen’s programs director. “This event will be a wonderful showcasing of themed works that celebrate our nation’s history.
The show is free and open to the public. Refreshment will be served.
