Fall Session 1 ~ Water Painting [Grades 1-5]
Monday, September 14th – Monday, October 26th
This first session of ASAP at Wintergreen will be all about water-based media! Students will explore use of line, color and shape by using concepts like repetition, colors fields and more to create beautiful works of art. Throughout the session, students will learn how to paint, draw and more with watercolors, inks and dyes as they learn new techniques to give their work personality.

Fall Session 2 ~ Photography [Grades 1-5] [Grades 6-10]
Monday, November 2nd – Monday, December 21st
This second session of ASAP at Wintergreen will focus on modern digital photography, but will begin by being introduced to historic photography processes. This will include learning about lighting, composition, contrast, saturation, depth of field, exposure, and more. This session will focus on training to take photographs in different areas including self-portraiture and still life. Not only will the students learn to take their own photographs but they will also learn how to upcycle their photographs into different art projects.
Classes for Grades 1-5 will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, and classes for Grades 6-10 will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3pm to 5pm, for 6 weeks in relation to the MSAD#1 calendar. Students in the MSAD#1 school district will have the option of being bussed directly from school to the Wintergreen Arts Center [parents must submit request, in writing, to student’s school].
