Wintergreen receives Davis Family Foundation grant

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine—Wintergreen Arts Center recently received a grant in the amount of $20,000 from the Davis Family Foundation to expand afterschool and summer arts program to all area youth regardless of their ability to pay.

“We are grateful to the Davis Family Foundation for this very generous grant as well as for their continued support over the years,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director.

Proceeds from this grant will go directly to sponsor the growth of Wintergreen’s afterschool and summer arts programs as well as increase the arts center’s ability to serve all children regardless of their financial circumstances.

“At Wintergreen, we never turn a child away from our afterschool and summer programs for financial reasons,” added Hutchins. “We always find the money somewhere and this grant ensures we’ll do that for months to come.”
