Wintergreen receives grant from Onion Foundation


PRESQUE ISLE, Maine—Wintergreen Arts Center recently received $10,000 from the Onion Foundation’s Fall Grant Cycle.  The gift goes to support Wintergreen’s general operations.

The Onion Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation based in Maine with a mission to encourage conservation and stewardship of the natural environment and to promote music and the arts in the state of Maine.

“The Onion Foundation does amazing things for Maine nonprofits,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director.  “We are extremely grateful that the Wintergreen Arts Center is the recipient of their continued generosity.”

Hutchins added, “The founders and staff of the Onion Foundation truly understand the importance of not only funding unique projects but also the significance of supporting day-to-day operations for nonprofit organizations.”
